American Sniper-Bradley Cooper and Clint Eastwood

American Sniper, which Bradley Cooper stars in and has championed
 to the big screen. Cooper in fact initially had Steven Spielberg lined up
 to direct, but when he had to step away, Eastwood came on board and
 seemingly has utilized his efficient filmmaking techniques and gotten the
project ready for release this year. Instead of coming out in 2015,
American Sniper now is prepping for an Oscar qualifying release at
the end of December. For those of you unaware what American
Sniper is about, it’s an adaptation of the novel by Chris Kyle, a
Navy SEAL who recorded over 150 kills as a sniper before
tragically dying on home turf in a shooting accident. Cooper will
play Kyle, while the supporting cast includes the likes of Kyle
Gallner, Lucas Grimes, Sam Jaeger, Sienna Miller, and more.
The screenplay is by Jason Dean Hall and of course Eastwood
is behind the camera. There’s certainly some potential here for
 awards attention, no doubt about that. Back when Eastwood
 made Million Dollar Baby, this same release strategy was used
to great effect. That was another film that initially wasn’t on the
calendar, but then snuck up on folks. I remember the late Roger
 Ebert being one of the first to talk about it, saying it was going to
 win Best Picture, and go figure…it did. It also won Best Actress
 for Hilary Swank and Best Director for Eastwood, so I’m sure
 the powers that be are hoping that the same thing can happen
here, just substituting Cooper into the Best Actor field instead.
 If this film is good, one can certainly see it contending in the Best Picture
, Best Director for Eastwood, Best Actor for Cooper, Best Supporting
 Actor for Grimes perhaps, Best Supporting Actress for Miller,
Best Adapted Screenplay, and various technical Oscar categories.
 My guess is that Best Picture and Best Actor will be the major plays,
 as Cooper could look to turn his potential third nomination into his
 first Academy Award win. That’s just a hunch, but it’s not a total
shot in the dark either.

The death of Robin Williams hit myself and most of the industry harder
 than a celebrity’s passing usually does. Part of it has to do with the fact
 that it was a suicide, but more than anything it’s just the loss of such a
 beacon of happiness and humor. Williams struggled with depression,
but he made it his mission in life to bring joy to others. As such, I couldn’t
 not pay tribute to the man, but I wanted to be able to take a little bit of
time and think about his work before doing this article. Below you’ll find
Williams’ ten best performances, not counting his genius stand up work,
 of course. 10. World’s Greatest Dad – An incredibly dark comedy,
Williams does some very underrated work in a project that’s really hard
to watch now. It involves themes that will hit too close to home, but one
 day we’ll be able to approach this one again and I hope more people
will realize how good he was in it. It’s a black comedy, but Williams
anchors it in emotion. 9. Moscow on the Hudson – Another under
seen film (and one that has sort of been forgotten ever since The Terminal
came out, consider some similarities in plot, Williams got to show range
 in this one. I hope folks seek this one out now, as it deserves a second look.
 He’s quite good here, I assure you. 8. Insomnia – The only time Williams
went and played a full on villain, and boy is he chilling.

He does it in such a calm way, you’re just unnerved. This is a “lesser”
Christopher Nolan outing to most, but Williams is easily the best part
 of it. He aces his part. 7. The Fisher King – Perhaps Terry Gilliam’s
crowning achievement or at least his most underrated, Williams
 gets to mix his manic energy with some real pathos here. There’s his
trademark comedy, for sure, but he’ll also break your heart before
all is said and done. This is one of the best mixes of his talents and
an absolute must watch. 6. One Hour Photo – It was such a startling
sight to see Williams playing such a restrained figure like this one.
A tragic villain of sorts, he’s so tightly coiled you keep waiting for him to strike.

 ad networks all have space advertising arms; there are also a
number of other large display ad networks that would be glad
 to help you get your ads placed.

good buy for your advertising program.

There are ad networks that specialize in selling remnant inventory.
 These networks buy up the unused space from a variety of
 websites and then package it to their advertisers for pennies
on the dollar. Now, you don’t always get the choice of websites
 for your ad to appear, but you don’t pay as much as you do
with premium space, either.

For the host websites, selling remnant inventory is a lot better
than leaving the available space empty; they get a little bit of
 income, and they don’t have to leave white space on their pages.
 For advertisers, the benefit is purely monetary; you get your ads
 out there for less than you would if you purchased premium space.
To that end, including remnant inventory in your advertising plan might
make sense. Even if you still purchase premium space on the sites you really
want to use, you can supplement these placements with additional remnant
purchases. It’s certainly cost effective.

Display advertising is the best way to establish your brand or
 product online.Most display ads are sold on a CPM basis,
which is fine if you’re most interested in generating impressions.
 There is, however, a movement toward PPC display ads, if in fact
 you have actual conversion in mind.

Display ads can be image-only ads, or they can include all manner of rich
media. State-of-the-art display ads often incorporate Flash animations, video
and audio playback, and even interactive elements for the consumer to click.

YouTube proved immensely popular from virtually the first day in business.
Site traffic that first month was 3 million visitors, which is pretty good for a
startup. The number of visitors tripled by the third month February, tripled
again by July to 30 million visitors, and reached 38 million visitors by the
end of the site’s first year in business. That made YouTube one of the top 10
sites on the Web, period—and one of the fastest-growing websites in history.

If a viewer likes a video, he can easily share it with others; this is how a video
goes viral, by being passed around as a favorite. Viewers can post YouTube
videos to Facebook or MySpace, send links to videos via email, even embed
videos in their blogs or web pages. All the sharing mechanisms are right there
on the video viewing page, just below the video itself.

YouTube represents an essentially free advertising channel. The site doesn’t
charge producers to store their videos or to serve up the bandwidth necessary
to view them. It also doesn’t charge viewers anything to watch those videos.

Other YouTube videos are uploaded by businesses. These videos attempt to
promote a company, a brand, or a product. Some of these videos are blatant
commercials including existing commercials repurposed to the YouTube site,
some offer in-depth prepurchase information about a given product or service,
some offer post-purchase information or support, and some use other
approaches to gain viewers—and prospective customers

The first type of video you can produce is an informative video—that is, a
video that imparts information of some sort. This most often is the YouTube
equivalent of a newscast, with you (or your spokesperson) acting as reporter
or anchorman. Alternately, an informative video may function as a video
brochure, presenting in-depth information about you or your products.

Huawei Ascend Mate 7-passed

Huawei's upcoming phablet, the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, has passed
 through TENAA and left a cache of specifications. The Mate 7 is
 the successor to the Mate2 and has a 6" screen so where did the 7
come from. The screen may be 6" big - 0.1" smaller than the previous
models but with 1080p resolution instead of 720p. The device
measures 157 x 81 x 7.9mm, so it's shorter, narrower and thinner
than its predecessor. It's lighter too, tipping the scales at 185g.
That's impressive considering that Huawei has replaced the plastic
back of the Mate2 with an aluminum plate, which makes the
Ascend Mate 7 look like the HTC One Max. The fingerprint
sensor beneath the camera makes the similarity even greater.
Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Anyway, the Mate 7 will leave the
mid-range chipsets of its predecessors in favor of the HiSilicon
Kirin 920.

 It has an octa-core big.LITTLE processor with four Cortex-A7
 and four Cortex-A15 cores plus 2GB of RAM 3GB option.
The phablet runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat will likely feature the
latest Emotion UI. The main camera is a 13MP shooter with a
single-LED flash and there's a 5MP selfie camera. The main
camera records 1080p video. There's 16GB of built-in storage
and a microSD card slot to add up to 128GB more. The Huawei
Ascend Mate 7 will be available in Black, White and Gold. TENAA
 certified two versions though both seem aimed at Chinese carriers.

Exynos 5433-powered-Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The Samsung N910C is powered by a Exynos 5433 not to be
 confused with the Exynos 5430 found in the Galaxy Alpha,
while the N910S is based on Snapdragon 805. The new Exynos
 chipset moves to 64-bit processing with four Cortex-A57 cores
 and four Cortex-A53. Those are the successors to the 32-bit
A15 and A7 respectively but implement the ARMv8-A instructions
 set same as Apple's Cyclone cores. The Snapdragon 805 uses
32-bit Krait 450 cores. The chipset also brings a new generation
 of GPU, the Mali-T760, the third generation of the architecture
behind the Mali-T628 that powers Galaxy Alpha's chipset. The
Qualcomm chipset brings a next-gen GPU as well, Adreno 420.
 The Galaxy Note 4 will have 3GB of RAM in both its Exynos
and Snapdragon versions.  It helps that it has faster access to
 RAM too. The new Mali-T760 has an edge over the new
Adreno 420 at the QHD resolution of the Galaxy Note 4 screen.
 We added the score to our own charts and the new Samsung-made
 chipset certainly seems impressive. It offers a small improvement
over the 5430 but the thing to keep in mind here is that Android
 4.4 isn't optimized for the new instruction set used in the Exynos
 chipset and the QHD screen resolution.

Meizu MX4-QHD

A screenshot has leaked over in China and the source claims it
belongs to the upcoming Meizu MX4. The screenshot shows a
camera UI and was reportedly 1536 x 2502 in resolution pointing
 to QHD resolution for the Meizu MX4 screen. The issue is that
 the screenshot cannot be found in full resolution so this could
turn out to be false information. Still it's highly possible that the
Meizu MX4 will indeed sport a resolution higher than 1080p
on what's projected to be a 5.4" display.

The screenshot reveals that the camera will be able to capture
above-1080p video - we're guessing UHD. Alleged Meizu MX4
 screenshot The Meizu MX4 has already been spotted flaunting
 impressively-thin bezels. Last year's model MX3 had bezels
equal to those of the LG G2. The Meizu MX4 is going to
 become official on September 2 and should offer a 20.7MP
 Sony-made camera, 3GB of RAM, 5.4" 2560 x 1536 display,
 an octa-core Exynos 5433, Meizu's Flyme OS 4.0 and aprice
of around $406 or €303.
